We, Israel, are a single being with many millions of faces.

There is no other way around it:
Whatever one of us is eating, all of us chew it with him.
When one of us does an act of G‑dly beauty, all of us participate.
If one us is suffering, all of us share that pain.
When one rejoices, all of us dance and sing.

None of us can say to the other, “It is your fault!” All of us share the blame for each other’s failures. And even more so, we share the benefits of each other’s good deeds.

Actually, the original version was somewhat censored--by myself. Originally, it was speaking of one Jew eating what a Jew is not permitted by Torah to eat. S/he's not eating alone.

I don't agree with you that if one eats something we all taste it - am laughing a bit please don't be offended - no negative thoughts intended at all, however, if one physically does not, nor spiritually, feel the taste of lemon, chocolate when another eats it, then mentioning it in your portions is not a logical which leads me to a conclusion of believing without questioning - perhaps brainwashing is too strong a word. Thank you

It is hard to accept that we all share in the misdeeds of a Bernie Madoff and all the other jews on wall street and banking who have helped put all of us in terrible financial trouble. I would shudder to think that the jew haters would read this and use this as an excuse to persecute us. I hope I misread the meaning of this daily dose

All G-d's Creation
We, humankind, are a single being with many millions of faces.

Know this, for there is no way around it: Whatever one of us is eating, all mankind chews it with him. When one of us does an act of G-dly beauty, all of G-d's creation participates. If one person is suffering, all men, women and children, regardless of their orientation, share that pain. When one rejoices, all dance and sing.

None of us can say to the other, "It is your fault!" All of us share the blame for each other's failures. And even more so, we share the benefits of each other's good deeds and selfless acts.

i agree that we are all connected but i feel that we share that connection with all people
to say that someone who is born jewish shares that connection and someone who is not born jewish does not share it, is hard for me to say
i feel more connected to other jews thats true, but is that because i would naturally feel that way or is because of something deeper connection
