Khremzlach - Czech Latkes


  • 3 large potatoes
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • grated rind and juice of one lemon
  • salt
  • oil for frying

Cook potatoes and mash well. After cool to touch, add eggs, sugar, salt, lemon juice and rind. Form into patties and fry until golden brown.

Czech Latkes
Will this not turn out if you use a food processor for the potatoes instead of cooking them~? Also, is there any Slavic potato latke recipes that anyone knows about~? Thanks.
