Joy
Anti semitism wiped off the face of the earth - that's true joy. I weep to think what man has done, thank God for those who repent of the terrors of the past.

Joy
Joy emanates from the heart, not from outward matters. Joy is the inner peace I feel when I have done something good for a fellowman as my act of offering to our God.
thanks. God bless.

Not Feeling Joy
I believe-and this is through writing alot where it was spifically about me before I realized that I'd never get out of it unless I could find a way to help out another.-I believe that you have hit on the soul root of staying alive-to forget about oneself for at least a little bit-I think that is so very important-and take that energy and give to another....Just recently, I finished 104 handpainted Hebrew letter-vowel cards with flowers etc. on them and they are each as big as a hand and I am giving them to my sister who is getting a Bas Mitzvah late in life...it means alot to me to jump out of me and give this to her-it took me three months to make-Thank you for writing this

Joy
The very first time I ever had a true experience with the presence of G-d was the feeling of joy. I had never felt joy in all my life but what suprised me the most when I felt it for the first time was how much I recognised it. Like it was something that I had always known but forgotten, that always was but hidden. i remember weeping incontrolably with this overwhelming joy thinking to myself that the joy i felt was so abundant that I can't fill up and nor can I empty of it. I just felt like a great big cup that had an immeasuralbe capacity to experience somthing so great and divine as joy. It changed my life forever.

For Ezra and Anonymous in NY
A lot of clarification in "Humility & Happiness"

One who feels himself can not feel joy
This requires clarification.

A person has to go get in touch with his center in order to connect with one's spiritual soul.

The act of going to one's center requires much feeling of one's self.

Only after you reach and connect to your center can you then achieve the nullification of self that brings you closer to G-D.

But first you need to feel yourself in order to reach your center.

Joy
The Spirit helps us in our weakness, He who searches the heart knows our minds and the spirit intercedes in accordance with G-d's will. Who by His power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body. Dear friends, now we are children of G-d, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies Himself, just as He is pure.

wow!
amazing!! really inspirational.... when you think this way you get more time to think about others and not just yourself.... its amazing that it really does help....
Question: I thought the person who feels himself cannot feel joy because a person sees his bad side and sees all the bad that is within him so thats why he doesnt feel joy..?

some explanation
Many wrote, asking for more explanation. Simply put: As long as we are thinking: Where am I going? What will be with me? Why aren't things good yet? Why do I deserve this? Why don't people notice/appreciate/love me?--we can never be happy. When we forget about all that and just live and do good, then we can enjoy life.

One who feels himself...
Very true. To me it is like having a big void inside, so big than it can only be filled by G-d Himself, Blessed be His Name. So, logically, only feeling G-d can joy come to us. G-d is joy!
