161. The Highest

True happiness is the highest form of self-sacrifice.

There, in that state, there is no sense of self—not even awareness that you are happy. True happiness is somewhere beyond “knowing.” Beyond self.

All the more so when you bring joy to others.

I know also this feeling...
Although so inconspicuous...

I know this feeling. I do know. It is almost material when I feel it.

But Heavens seem to deny this "materiality"to me.

Who knows, who knows one day, still in this life in this earth, I will embrace this feeling for never let it go anymore.

Who knows...

True Happiness " The Highest"
I think you hit the nail on the head Rabbi. As I look back on 2010 I am able to say the Peace of G-d and true happiness are The Highest. And this is almost unexplainable. As best as can be expressed: to me this is as you said bringing joy to others because we recieve the joy of our heavenly Father, which is fresh, like manna for the gathering every morning and tastes as sweet as the honeycomb. It is knowing that HE is in complete control and I need only listen and obey, knowing HE will empower all HE wants to be accomplished by this frail human. Thank you Rabbi Freeman
