Miracles

At every moment, in each thing, a miracle occurs far transcendent of even the splitting of the Red Sea: Existence is renewed out of the void, and a natural order is sustained where there should be chaos.

Indeed, it is not the miracle that is wondrous, but the natural order. Does anyone have a good reason why gravity should behave today the way it behaved yesterday? Does anyone have a good reason why there should be anything at all?

Kramer's Rule in Mathematics was published by Kramer; but who is Kramer in the Jewish world? Oh! Big surprise (but I won't tell you here). Often the Jews don't use their Jewish name when publishing something for the secular world. So you read about Rabbi X and about Dr. Y, and you don't know they are the same person.

Miraculous and Natural orders
Both the Miracle and the Natural Order are wondrous. Together they are the Roof and the Wall of the letter Beth.

Out of the constant chaos around us it is good to know that our eternal Lord has a reason and purpose for all and everything...it is good not to question and just take the ride

Miracles
Hmm... I was surprised at the curtness of some comments. I may be "childlike" as one commenter added, but... "Does anyone have a good reason why there should be anything at all?" There are scientific reasons, because the Creator is the great scientist, and never told us not to ask questions.

Sometimes, I think we forget to be grateful that we woke up still breathing. Just because I'm breathing today, doesn't mean tomorrow my body will behave the same way.

I think this is a wonderful contmeplation, worthy of reposting and sharing.

RADICAL AMAZEMENT
Your insight today is beautifully elaborated by the great Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel who calls this concept "Radical amazement" with the ongoing existence of the universe.

Why Today + 1 Day = approx Today
It was so in the past; therefore, it will be in the future.

Works until it doesn't.

Doesn't make sense. And wasn't it the Sea of Reeds, not the Red Sea?

miracles
If one were to ask a physicist or DNA expert why gravity or reproduction, etc follows laws ,they would probably be able to make a great contribution to explaining these miracles as logical, mathematically programmed happenings. There are many fields of knowledge, which we never had thousands of years ago, that can help us to understand how order can come out of chaos if we want to investigate them..But it is unusual for men of great Jewish learning to invesigate them;.It is almost as if they think they will be seen as heratics. We might tell our childen the story of Noah to explain a rainbow but we modern folk know that really there is a scientific explanation for this phenomenon. By closing our eyes to science we keep ourselves like children.

Absolute: Moshiach cannot come on Friday.
Right? He's not supposed to come at a time which interferes with our holiday preparation. Now, if, most of us are done with our cleaning and really Pesach isn't until a few days from then, maybe he could come. There are some absolutes. Should I demand absolutes? No, but we're not going to turn into beings of light in a few days. Have a wondrous, miraculous, freedom filled Pesach.
