Higher Consciousness

The first step to higher consciousness is to be conscious of a consciousness higher than your own.

And to be conscious of how that consciousness is conscious of you.

conciousness
Is life itself, knowing all together, emotions, senses, thoughts, beliefs pulling from different direction to create our conciousness the make up of our life. The key is to live, move, pray from the conciousness of g-d

For Aaron Benezra
Aaron, what higher consciousness did you think I was referring to other than G-d's?

I don't understand what Berkeley has to do with anything here. I think you've greatly oversimplified his thesis. But yes, he certainly came very close to the truth.

TZVI, PLEASE CLARIFY YOUR MEANING IN STATING ...
... THAT ONE SHOULD "BE CONSCIOUS OF HOW THAT CONSCIOUSNESS IS CONSCIOUS OF YOU."

This is a statement that borders on idolatry, and I don't think that is what you meant.

Only HaShem may be conscious of how he is conscious of each of us.

English philosopher Bishop George Berkely of the mid-18th Century -- distinguished as both and idealist and an empiricist -- held that one's existence was a mere illusion in the mind of G-d. Is this also the teaching of the Rebbe?

Judaism does not teach that our existence is illusory, nor that we are G-d.

We may or may not be conscious of HaShem; by definition HaShem is conscious of us.

It may help the discussion, if you were to define consciousness and then to further defines higher and lower consciousness.

re: Katz Comment
Mr. Steve Katz:

Consciousness is consciousness, Action is action. They are different words with different meanings. Consciousness may indeed be higher or lower. Creation is creation. You have no comprehension of words and their meanings. You say nothing. Wise up and learn. Stop smoking dope, if that is your problem. There is a difference between the mystical and the confused, and you are very confused. Perhaps there are those, who tolerate your mental laziness, who may even be true friends. But, you may find it worthwhile to find a friend, who will exercise your mind and not confuse, who will teach you how to diagram words and sentences, so that you may free your mind of the gobblety-gook that results in meaningless uttering such as the example you issued above.

There is no higher or lower consciousness for it's not a thing nor an it. Consciousness is action... without creating a thing.
