The Oppressive Neighbor

No one is a greater tyrant than your friendly neighbor. Or fellow workers at the office. Or friends at the gym. The mere anticipation of their scrutiny arrests all growth before it can even germinate. "Why have you changed your way of life? Was everything you did until now wrong? Why do you feel a need to be different?" The most tyrannical regime could never be as oppressive.

The secret is, they may never even make a comment. They probably don't even care. So where do all those intimidating questions come from?

They come from your own little tyrant inside.

The Oppressive Neighbor
Your daily dose today have left me thinking. We might, sometimes, worry about what others think of us, or what they might do to us. But there are times when the facts are right at our noses. By intimidating words, actions and deeds which come from others. Sometimes no matter what one do to win their acceptance doe not seem to work. Many times it is not our imagination, they are real hurful. Personally, I have learnt to surrender all my enemies to Hashem. By giving Him back the life, the breath, the body, the dreams, everything that I have or could ever possess. Because I learnt that everything comes from Him and only Him, Blessed be He. What a wonderful feeling!! His presence is a delight!!!

Truer words never spoken
It's our own inner chaos that creates the most conflict. In fact, my daughter tells me I am parent-noid....(kinda paranoid, but parent style)
