Anesthetized

G‑d saw the fire and the ice, the storm and the narrow straits that plague our final journey, and He knew that no soul could bear such pain.

So He anesthetized our souls. Our love and fear, our sensitivity to anything G-dly—all that was put to sleep. Only the very core, our essential connection to Above, was left intact.

There is a positive side to this frozen state: The deepest wonders are open to us. Wonders that souls of an earlier generation would never have been able to approach out of awe and inspiration.

At the core of the wisdom of Torah lies an unbearable fire. We can walk through it now, without even knowing its heat.

This time you have locked and trapped the Truth so tightly and truthfully - to add more or to attempt to comment would indeed spoil such a beautiful invitation to embrace Torah wholeheartedly.Indeed as a Supreme gift - that of a double edged sword ; indeed both for our efficacy by Ha-Shem's Will .amen.

Walking mind
If one walks through the God's wonders and through the wisdom of Torah without feeling anything, not frozen by ice and not burned by fire, why walk at all?

Be Within Stay Above: Anesthesized
Be without stay below, one day before Tisha B'Av this year, the calamity, pain, death, mourning, and sorrow definitely insurmountable. I pray, I cry but it is true words can not express and tears get dry. I never thought that is to be within and stay above and the anesthesia is needed for the procedure. My existence is also frequently defined by people surrounding me, the relationships of my life, but ultimately there is the loneliness that only the Above can fill the within. O HaShem help me that I can walk through the fire and do not feel the heat. Help us that while the temple in ruin and/or not in our possession, we have faith in Your everlasting covenant and believe other than.

Anesthetized at birth
You see, for 45 years it was my very awareness and knowledge of my jewishness that had been anesthetized. Looking back to it now, I clearly see that I couldn't have survived those years without anesthesia, without that dose of Divine mercy. But perhaps an even greater and deeper Mercy lies in the fact that the Divine anesthesia gradually loses its numbing effect, until - at a Divinely ordained and thus perfect time-space coordinate - it expires forever. Life after this does not necessarily become easier, but it is a wholly different ball game, one which is impossible to lose when you know the Rules and the Ruler.
