Childish Demands

When a child feels something is lacking
the child wants it,
demands it with all his heart and soul
and demands it now.

The world is not the way it should be.
None of us are in our proper place.
We must demand from the One Above that all this be repaired
and be repaired now.

Based on letters and talks of the Rebbe, Rabbi M. M. Schneerson
From the wisdom of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, of righteous memory; words and condensation by Rabbi Tzvi Freeman. To order Rabbi Freeman’s book, Bringing Heaven Down to Earth, click here.

Childish Demands
If you don't ask you don't get.
I say we have a right to demand but not a right to receive.

A cute tantrum...
As a child I demanded "fairness" from my parents.
When they said "no" I believed it wasn't fair.
So I kept demanding louder because I felt that they weren't listening to me.
But they were.

Now I realize that they didn't give into my demands because they knew what was best for me.

Childish Demands
I think of King Josiah, when it was brought to His attention that the book or the law was recovered in the temple restoration, He rent His garments...seeing how far the nation had strayed from the law. We have the Torah, the sages, the prophets...and they affirm the justice of G-d...and the responsiblity of us to enact that justice...so..We must demand of ourselves..what We know must be done..and it is a religious duty for us all.

Seems I am Not alone...Demand from G-d??
I know the world needs repair. I know how badly i want him to fix things. But , i dare not demand anything from G-d. I know that my understanding of his... anything is so small, that i can pray and ask for better, but i have too much love and awe to ever demand that g-d owes anything. I must him love and respect, at all times, as he is so far above anything that i could know (ein sof), THAT I COULD NOT FATHOM HIS PLAN, I CAN ONLY FEEL HIS PRESENCE, WHEN I AM SPIRITUALLY FIT TO DO SO. I ask that we all pray for a better world and remember tikkun olan (spelling?). I'll ask him and then i'll do my best to help him, to better the world.

Demand
We should not demand repair of the world from the One Above unless we also say at the same time that we will assume our share of the responsibility in partnership with G-d in doing the repair.

I Humbly Disagree!!
Just as Children many times make demand for things that are not good for them or may not be the time for them to have what they are demanding; So we must be careful Not to demand anything of the CREATOR ALMIGHTY G-D, Why? HE is the MASTER, HE sees what we can not, HE knows what we do not, HE HAS Never Lost a Battle, and HE will not Lose this one with the world the flesh and the devil

Children also Trust their Parents, they Believe what ever they are told by their parents; So we must!!! Trust G-D and know that HE moves the pieces in this chess game and Israel will check mate!!

Non of us are in his proper place.???
I still remember:
"And your footsteps were guided, to reach that place. And you are there. Now."
That does make me feel good. It helps me to accept things as they are.
A thought from the Rebbe too.
What is right? Does it change from time to time? Who decides?
