Separation Anxiety

Within every love, there is fear: The fear of separation from that which you love.

A child fears separation from her parents, a lover from his beloved, the body fears separation from the soul and the soul from its Source Above.

So what do you love? Look at your worries and you will know. If you seethe in worry over your debts and financial future, then it is the material world you love—because you believe in the material world and you see it as the source of all good. If you sit and fret over the comments of others and the glances they throw at you, then it is social acceptance that you love, that you have made into your god.

Cleave to the True Source Above and your heart will have no room for fear of this world.

Yes I read the prescribed post, and it does make sense. I lost sight of the fact that i was appearing to see myself as the Higher Authority, and doing good not wicked. You have changed my perspective. It is at all times worth, or better yet necessary, to be involved in a consult with the Higher Authority on decisions which face us every day. It maintains the connection and being on the same page. It is a connection which is cherished and thereby a connection which we would be afraid to lose.
Thank you for piecing it together for me. It works.

fear of G-d
The real fear in Chabad theology is the fear of the loss of the connection with G-d.

Personally, fear of G-d does not work for me. I accept awe, a certain level of fear. Fitting awe with love works for me. It means be good, not wicked. It means doing mitzvot, not the opposite. Be faithful in your spirituality by prayer and Torah study; be righteous ( do right ) in your physical realm, such as spending family time, earning an honest living, etc.

Love or dependence ?
I do not think that where is fear is love
May be psychological dependence or economical, but not love. Where love is not pain and no fear.

looking for home
I turn to this message , now daily, for how to live. This is a profound message. In truth I am not stressed by material things but I still long for some degree of faith and peace. Especially the part of this post that refers to how others may view you. I want to come to pray but have forgotten more than I remember.

Daily Dose
I love what was written in todays Daily Dose. It hits the nail right on the head. So many times we are caught up in the, "world", and forget what truely is important to our lives now and our lives with our Heavenly Father. We must all strive to rember the festivals and the Sabbath that bring us closer to G-d.

Amen

Seperation Anxiety
I fear no man from this world. I do fear G-d so I live by His laws because I believe His laws are true. With G-d protecting you and guiding you who do you fear?
