One of the Alter Rebbe's early teachings, then called verter1 (lit. "words," short sayings):

Sh'ma Yisrael2 - a Jew3 senses4 that

Havayeh5 Elokeinu - our strength and life6 is beyond nature,7 and

Havayeh Echad - Havayeh is One.
