Strong Inside

The ego is not a source of strength. It is weakness in disguise.

Inside there is invincible strength. Remove the cloud of the mind's ego, and the inner power will shine through.

Ego
I want to know at what point does ego come in? Is it omni present? So that we respond to ego more readily - then how can one change than studying chassidus daily.
Is it possible that ego does come in to our lives in a positive way - when someone is putting us down incessantly - if we do not have any ego then we have no pride. No pride, we tend to fall to pieces and think so little of ourselves. When that happens we are of no use to ourselves at all.
Is this ego in an opposite direction coming in? So what ought one do in these circumstances to avoid ego taking over? and how does it take over?

weakness in disguise.
This may be like I heard one psychologist say that anger is really fear. Whenever a person gets angry, it is because they are scared of something else. An insult gets people angry because it brings to the surface the possibility of being inadequate etc. Danger may evoke anger because of fear of physical harm etc. Really, if the person is in touch with themselves, they won't have a personal ego reaction, instead they will see the divine providence in the situation and take it to heart. Everything is a learning experience directly from G-d. Get in touch with the G-d in you, your soul, (by studying chassidus daily) and not only will things be interpreted differently and more positively, but that itself, closeness to G-d, is true happiness.
