Truth Concentrate

This Torah we were given is not of the world, nor is it something extraneous to it. Rather, it is the hidden essence, the primal thought from which all the cosmos and each thing within it extends. It is not about the world, it is the world—the world as its Creator sees it and knows it to be.

The sages of the Talmud told us that the Torah is the blueprint G‑d used to design His creation. There is not a thing that cannot be found there. Even more, they told us, G‑d and His Torah are one, for His thoughts are not outside of Him as our thoughts are.

But He took that infinite wisdom and condensed it a thousandfold, a billionfold, and more, into finite, earthly terms that we could grasp—yet without losing a drop of its purity, its intimate bond with Him. Then He put it into our hands to learn, to explore and to extend.

So now, when our mind grasps a thought of Torah, thoroughly, with utter clarity, we grasp that inner wisdom. And at the time we are completely absorbed in the process of thought, comprehension and application, our self and being is absorbed in that infinite wisdom which is the essence of all things. We have grasped it, and it grasps us. In truth, we become that essence.

RE: What does Torah mean?
The word Torah literally means "teaching." In the most narrow contexts, it refers only to the 5 Books of Moses. Often it is expanded to include the entire Bible, or even the extra-biblical traditions and teachings that are part of our nation's spiritual heritage. If fact, when you ponder deeply into a Torah teaching, and come up with your own explanation or understanding--that it Torah as well.

What does Tora mean?
What does Tora mean? Chumash, Talmud, Midrash, Chassidut, Kabalah? What HaShem gave to us and what we, as human beings, had created according to our capabilities and beliefs?.
Thank you,

Truth Concentrate
Beautifully expressed and totally understandable - said by one who frequently has difficulty catching the essence of these Daily Doses. May we all be worthy of grasping at least a tiny part of this clarity.

G-d and Torah are one?
Until now I could not believe it. My mind was too small to grasp it. Today that changed.
The sentence: "His thoughts are not outside of Him as our thoughts are" makes sense to me.
I am very happy, as always when I understand something, I did not understand before. And I like the sentence: "When our mind grasps a thought of Torah... our self and being is absorbed in that infinite wisdom. ... We have grasped it and it grasps us..."
A breathtaking truth, that can make a human very happy.
Thank you for explaining it the way you did!
