bringing in early
I believe Shavuos is the one Yom Tov we can NOT bring in early because we have to have finished our 49 days completely.

I wonder why there is a second day of Shavuos outside of Israel if it always went according to the count - if people knew when Pesach was then they would know for sure when 49 days was later; there was no need to get the news from Jerusalem...
