Sefiras Ha’Omer

90. During the period that the Omer is counted one should avoid any travel which involves crossing the International Date Line1.

If one needs to fly during that time to a place that is on the other side of the date line, he should fly the longer way, (i.e fly east towards Australia or west towards Europe and North America) thus circumventing the date line. If that is not possible, a competent halachic authority must be consulted about the procedure for counting the Omer at the destined location (and return, as well)

91. In some congregations there is a separate Kaddish said after Sefiras Ha’omer and another one after aleinu. In other congregations, the custom is to say just one Kaddish at the conclusion of the two. If one whose custom is to say just one Kaddish is davening in a congregation where the Kaddish is said after each one, he should do likewise and not get into a disagreement over this2.
