37. Peek-A-Boo

Everywhere in the world, parents play peek-a-boo with their children. It is a major discovery of life, a cornerstone in human development: To realize that something is there even when you cannot see it, that the world is not defined by your subjective perception, that there is something that absolutely is--whether you know of it or not.

All our life, all of the world, is G-d playing with us that same game. He peeks with a miracle and then hides behind nature. Eventually, we look behind nature to find Him there.

Rabbi, the web and skype have been great teachers for what exists but is intangible in the immediate present.

I have to say that those few lines are just so brilliant, I'm reminded of a children's tale...I see the seeds for a children's book rabbi freeman, You must write it!

Thank you, Rabbi Freeman
During the time I didn't believe ( nor disbelieve ) in G-d, G-d peeked at me quite often. My life is full of the miracles talked of by Rabbi Freeman. After such a miracle, my mind always informed me that, yes, what had just happened may be due to the existence of G-d...... but then again, it may fall under one of those cause / effect kind of things that scientists cannot yet explain.

And then I discovered G-d. Not within what people consider an outrageous miracle. A rabbi talked to me of G-d, and it was as if he were pointing to the place inside me where G-d had been all those many many years. A place beyond mind - deeper, bigger than mere mind, and yet it was not a mindless place.

I can't explain it any better.

Thank you, Rabbi Freeman...... with all my heart I thank you.
