Insider’s History

The history of humankind is not about the rise and fall of empires, their wars and their conquests. It is about a different sort of war, a singular one: The battle over whether the Creator of this place belongs here or in some heaven above.

That is the battle each one of us fights, and that is the story of all humanity’s journey. And that is all that really matters. For that is all there is to any human being.

answer to Alex's question
This is in a sence, the battle of good and evil. For really what is "good" and "evil" But rahetre the absence of G-dliness or the presence of G-dliness. And this is what the battle is. To accept and embrace G-d in our everyday lives, or just to believe that man runs the show....This is just my take on the daily dose.

I always believed our greatest battle has always been between Good and Evil. Is that not the truth? It's what keeps us walking the straight and narrow.

Where does the Creator belong?
Hi, Rabbi Freeman,
I have the feeling, that our Creator b e l o n g s to Heaven. That's His place.
But He i s here with us.
Is that a wrong idea?
For me it is a comforting thought to know, when I die, I will get to Him. (In heaven above)
Thanks for making us think every day anew.
