Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup butter or margarine
  • 2 ¾ cup flour
  • ½ cup confectioners sugar
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla

Directions:

  1. Mix the dry ingredients.
  2. Add butter or margarine and mix. Add egg and vanilla and mix until dough forms a ball.
  3. Roll the dough and cut circles with a cookie cutter or glass.
  4. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each and pinch to close.
  5. Bake 375°F / 190°F for 15 minutes.

Yields: 18 hamantaschen
