Rosh Hashanah

1. One who will be traveling and be away from home during Rosh Hashanah should take a shofar along to be prepared for any eventuality.

2. If one will be in a city during Rosh Hashanah where the only places to daven do not have a mechitzah, then it is better to daven without a minyan and miss hearing the shofar. The importance of hearing the shofar does not make Rosh Hashanah an exception to the rule that one is not permitted to daven in a place without a mechitzah1.
