As is explained here, it is customary to hang a Shir HaMaalos (Psalm 121) in the room of the new mother and the newborn immediately upon the expectant mother’s arrival at the hospital.

I praise and thank Almighty God for showing me this lovely website as my daughter is getting ready to give birth to her second child. BRIS SHIR HAMAALOS
