You did not mention Rosh Chodesh is a G-d given Yom Tov to the women.This was one of the first things my Chabad Rabbi told me.

Very nice presentation, THANKS. Yes, the prayer is Birkat HaChodesh recited during Shabat Mevarchim. Shabat Mevarchim is the last Shabat before Rosh Chodesh.

Is there a special prayer to be said for the Rosh Chodesh as it occurs each month?
