Hmmm...
it seems to me that the people between Joshua and Eli follow the order of the judges as they appear in the book of Judges.

Could you post the source for this list? Some of it is from the introduction to mishna tora and soem from pirke avot, but between pinkhas and eli is normally a blank. Was it just your best guess?
