The 3000 holy innocents went to heaven leaving their young daughters bound for Sephardi on a ship, landing somewhat near modern day Barcelona. Today's Sephardim are descended from these ancestors who were raised in the wealthiest section of Jerusalem. This occurred in the year 69.
