Why it is illogical to say that the destruction of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, and the subsequent exile, came about as a punishment for the Jewish people.

Studying the Torah I think I managed to figure out the why. Simply put if you look at the book of Hosea in general and verse 6-2 specifically I believe Hosea is stating that Israel was facing a 2 day/2000 year top level Leviticus 26 curse. If referenced to Psalms 90-4.
Why such a long curse? Based on Daniel 9 it looked like the messiah problem was supposed to have solved itself in the first century AD. But then I found the last 2 verses of Malachi.
Lo, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord,
That he may turn the heart of the fathers back through the children, and the heart of the children back through their fathers-lest I come and smite the earth with utter destruction.
Something happened to Elijah back then stopping him from doing his appointed job.

Exile was intended to show the Israelites that G-d did not require a nation with bounderies to take care of His people. Thats why Israelites thrived in Babylon. G-d schemed and raised Daniel, Chardrack, Marchark, Abednegal, Esther, Nehemiah, and the prophets, to be influential in Exile and take care of His people.

G-d does not make people sick. People makes themselves sick. It is such a disgrace for people to say he makes them sick. Disease, like suffering is a sign we are doing something wrong - or genetically, our ancestors did something wrong..hence healing is in our hands..and with the help of Hashem he can send u answers as to the path to follow to undo what we, as individuals or we as a society have done to bring on sickness. Miracles of healing from Hashem and energies sent to heal are documented..but illness itself is our doing. Thank you for your talk.

by Rabbi Ben-Tzion Kransianski was so inspirational. He was simply awesome in his presentation. The analogy of birth has been given before, but Rabbi Kransianski took it a step further in faith and enlightenment. I loved his candid remarks on his wife, the making light of such a dark time in our Jewish History as our continued exile, yet showing we go on with joy, laughter and a positive attitude. Also, a heartfelt "Thank You" to Chabad for such extraordinary videos as the one presented here.
