More Simple

When the Infinite Light takes form to create a world, its simplicity allows it to become all things. But if it becomes all things, how does it remain simple?

This is the secret of the most utterly simple: Even within form, it holds memory of its simplicity.

And so the sages said, "He is the space of the world, but the world is not His space."

Meaning: Even the glimmer of Himself that sustains the space and form of this world, even that remains pure and simple, beyond form and space.

just as space itself that remains unaffected by anything that occupies it. Even when one sits in a home he's actaully sitting in the space within it.

Re: Tzvi Freeman's response to More Simple
Thank you. Your explanation is helpful. I am constantly trying to boil things down to their essence. This is as far as I've gotten: stay calm; be kind; try not to let the self get in the way or be threatened by reacting to insults, aggression or rejection.

Isn't it strange that it seems to take words without end to express the simple? Perhaps I'll be closer to getting it right, to blending in, when I have nothing more to say.

Re: More Simple
Hold tight. The Daily Dose travels through many different territories for many different travelers.

The something anyone could take out of this is, as the Baal Shem Tov taught, be simple. Have an earnest, sincere heart and let it shine in all your ways. That way you will be able to tune into the essential simplicity of the Infinite that pervades all things.

More Simple
This is so esoteric and ephemeral as to slip beyond meaninglessness. If one (being me) is to take something from this and have it influence action to make it contribute to a positive force in the world, to some mitzvah, what might that something be?
