It is obvious that every field of study has its own framework and parameters.
Though all branches of knowledge share common principles, they are not equally
applicable to all sciences. Natural science can never be quite equal to the
metaphysical science of the soul, let alone to Torah and the study of the
Creator.
When we speak of features common to all sciences or wisdoms, we refer to an
attribute such as enlightenment, for example. But the enlightenment obtained
from the study of nature is, of course, not comparable to the enlightenment
achieved through Torah study.
As in all wisdoms, the three schools of thought discussed above, though
complementary and interdependent, have each their unique terms of reference that
indicate their particular essential qualities. Moreover, since the three schools
stand in ascending order, it follows that their essential qualities follow in
the same order.
