Modern physics has brought us to a realization of the oneness of our universe, from which we may better grasp the Oneness of its Creator:

All that exists can be divided into two elements: The force, and the particle that bears that force. In other terms: quality and quantity. With a simple equation, Einstein demonstrated that even these two elements are truly one.

Einstien and G-d
Einstein doesn't play dice with the universe either.

Einstein and Gd
Einstein said, and he meant it, "The Lrd Gd does not play dice with the universe."

He is speaking of the Source of all, not of the old man in the sky with the long white beard.

When he says that "gd" is for children, he is speaking of that primitive long white beard image. The Gd he believes in is the Source of all.

Light is mass, matter is square.
Is this a poem because it's certainly not science. The square speed of light shows the enormousness energy equivalence of matter when it's form is converted. If photons were still in relation to any mass they would not exist. They exist because they know where they are going. The effect of any mass on the photon traveling near it is solely due to the bending of space due to gravity effects measurable only at very large masses.

What does E=mc**2 mean?
What does E=mc**2 mean?

The Answer
E=mc2 is a version of Einstein's famous Relativity equation. Specifically, it means that Energy is equal to Mass times the speed of light squared. In essence, it states that there is an equivalence between mass and energy. This simple statement has many profound implications... such as no object with mass can ever go faster than the speed of light!

Here are some references (some more advanced than others..)

Quantity and quality
Instead of positing "energy as a quality of matter" I would say almost the opposite: matter does not exist. Matter is an illusion. All that really "exiss" is energy and motion. Sometimes the energy is so dense that it seems to be a particle, for example a photon. But that same photon, when viewed differently, is light energy. The same with all subatomic particles--they are not particles at all. They are merely concentrations of energy. They are, if you like, a quality of energy at certain points, and we cannot even say exactly where, but when a lot of them get together and form atoms and molecules, we start getting into something our hands can feel and our eyes can see, & we call it matter. Like the table your keyboard rests on, or the chair you sit in, or the floor that upholds both. Or your hand. Each is 99.999% empty space, except the space is not empty; it is full of the weak force & the strong force, ie of vast energy, so powerful as to seem solid. But it's illusion.

Einstein
Recednt discoviers of his letters revealed that he thought the belief in God was for children. It makes me sad now when I see Einstein's name used in connection with the belief in God.

Four forces
Gravity
Electromagnetism
The "weak force"
The "strong force"

The last two are the ones involved at the atomic and subatomic level and these forces are far stronger than gravity.

So discussions of gravity are vastly insufficient.

The unity of the universe...the very possibility of matter...depends also very much on these two nameless forces.
