The Field of Your Mind

A creative mind is a fertile field. But that may simply mean that the weeds are taller and grow faster.

First, soften your mind’s soil, plough its furrows. Open it to the wisdom that rains down from the heavens; let the dew of Torah sink into your soul, the seeds laid by tzaddikim enter your heart. Learn to lie still as they awaken and take root. Quietly await the spring.

In the place of thorns and a tangle of weeds will grow a bountiful garden. Where once wild and brazen delusions sprang forth, a tightly focussed beam of light will shine.

The Field of Your Mind
Over a year ago now, I decided that my life would take a different path. With the help of Almighty G-d everything is possible. And as I read this last paragraph: "That place of thorns and a tangle of weeds will grow a bountiful garden. Where once a wild and brazen delusions sprang forth, a tightly focussed beam of light will shine," have shined. Thanks to Him. Presently, I am re-reading a book from years back entitled: "You Are What You Think," by David Stoop. Trusting in the Almighty G-d is a positive way of thinking. He wants us to think positive so that we can experience His wonderful works in our lives as well as on this world we live in. Once done that we will experience the changes. Lets not allow negative people influence in the path of our lives. Instead, let us be strengthened in Him, The Giver of Life.

clearing the mind
Thank you Rabbi.
For me you have said for us Jews the action and promises that constitute the 12 Steps of recovery in the Anonymous programmes. It is work one day at a time with great rewards, especially realising the great potential and delight with Life that our Jewish souls are capable of once the 'house (field) is cleaned and kept clean', but with G's help.

The Field of your Mind
Is a very good analogy that involves the thought process and the meditation on the 32 paths of Wisdom , heart and mind, that are really levels of concioussness that grows with "Water"(MEM)that is one of the letters of the Hebrew Alphabet.
