In general, when doctors disagree, follow the opinion of the majority of the experts. But in the case of surgery, if there is uncertainty it is usually better to refrain and trust that the Healer of All Flesh will heal and strengthen you.

In case of doubt
What if my surgeon insists that I believe in his assessment and not other doctors?
He then performs surgery just to prove to me that he is right and I was wrong. This was evident when he visited me after the surgery and his second words were "I was right."

Even if I had doubts about this doctor; seeing his sincere soul led me to believe in him.
I have to remind myself:
Put your trust in G-d and not in mere man or the princes.
