56. Black Holes

To an astrophysicist:

In recent years, astronomers have discovered that not all stars shine. There are some stars of such tremendous density that instead of radiating outwards, they only draw light in. Therefore, they have named these stars, "Black Holes."

Fortunately, the universe has enough Black Holes already. If you have light, shine forth.

Stars and Sages
An interesting analogy can be made between great sages and stars. First a little cosmology.

A very heavy star called a White Dwarf makes a fantastic transformation at the end of its life. Its gravity is so intense that its mostly carbon core is transformed into a diamond the size the Earth!

A super duper heavy star is so massive that it can't resist it's gravitational force and shrinks down to what Cosmologists call a singularity (black hole). No one knows what that is!

This is analogous to great sages:

The great are very heavy in their lifetimes and are revealed to be diamonds in Gan Eden.

Some sages are so great, that like super-duper-heavy stars they achieve something altogether greater: Unity with G-d!

It's a metaphor.

Interestingly, if certain aspects of quantom theory hold up, a black hole may form a tunnel to anouther dimension, or universe.

Maybe the reason we've never seen heaven is it's hiding on the other side of a black hole.

BLACK HOLES
If this is a play on words, this is one of the most humorous and well understood truths.
