47. Momentous Missions - Daily Dose of Wisdom

Takeoff of one of the Apollo missions was delayed due to a single, tiny loose component. From this the Rebbe learned:

The more momentous the mission, the more crucial the details. Including the most momentous mission of all, the purpose of Creation.

Every detail of G‑d’s world and of our mission upon it is essential. Nothing is without meaning. Nothing is without vital purpose.

The Details...it's all in the details

This is why Jews excel in medicine.law, finance, science, literature, and on and on into the night. It's all in the details. We get it from our forefathers: they meditated, studied, discussed, thought, and taught to others: the DETAILS. In a school in which I once taught for close to 12 years, little children, as young as second grade,( 6-7 years old), would start their discussions or answers in a classroom, saying "well, I think..."

Details

They say Rabbi Isaac Luria, the Ari, would think about/meditate for great lengths over a single sentence of the Zohar.

Therefore, the difference between good and great is details, and understanding those details.
