27. Your Jerusalem

People want to run away from where they are, to go to find their Jerusalem -as if elsewhere they will find perfection. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing there, make that a Jerusalem.

Your Jerusalem-->Accepting your day.
What happened on your day was supposed to happen. Every day we can begin afresh. One day is connected to the previous one but our situations belong to us and can only be figured out by us. Maybe we'd like to run after someone else's day (life) but let's be like Aharon (pursue peace "and he was silent").

being here now
Very nicely said Brian. May it be G-d's will that one day I will be were you are, and truly then be who I am meant to be!

being here now
I once was there then but now I am here. Only now and only here I AM.

Jerusalem
You are where you are because you have a job to do. When G-d spoke to Moses at the burning bush he said, "I am that I am." This can actually be translated to, "I will be what I will be".

Our real home is in Jersualem, and everywhere else a Jew is in exile. Our purpose is to finish our job where we are, become what we are to be, and then we are ready to go to Jerusalem.

Work hard and may your time to go Home come soon.

pre-Shabbos hush of Jerusalem
We have the World Cup here. Yesterday in Johannesburg in the afternoon people were rushing home to get to a television to watch South Africa play France.There was a hush in my suburb's streets that reminded me of the singleness of focus in Yerushalayim on Friday afternoons when things are shutting down before Shabbat.

Re: Jerusalem
Whatever your situation is...Just ask your local Orthodox Rabbi. And...where we are...is where we are supposed to be. And remember...G-d doesn't abandon anyone. We are all very important. Happy Shavuot.
