8. Higher Lower

The higher something is, the lower it falls. So too, the loftiest revelations are to be found in the lowest places.

Therefore, if you find yourself in a place seemingly devoid of anything spiritual—don’t despair. The lower you are, the higher you can reach.

Humor and wit also applies
A kite rises in opposition to the wind, so we rise too , when opposed. So my Dad said, "to go fly a kite!" Maybe that's alot like life, because kite flying as I remember , isn't that easy! When you're down, it's nice to have a comic in the house!

Yes.
Those who lift themselves up will be humbled; but Gd lifts up those who are low of heart.

To the previous post-
I think you are mixing up spiritually low and psychologically sick.

I think that when we feel low and deppresed but nontheless are able raise ourselves up, or if after doing a sin or something low we dont condem ourselves but inspire ourslves that we can do better, that this can bring us to a higher point than where we were before feeling low or doing something low. I believe this is partially what the Rebbe meant.

If you allow yourself to go too low, I am afraid, you may reach a point of no return. G-d hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and Pharaoh was doomed to destruction.

The poor Korean shooting monster fell so low, what unimaginable spiritual highs was he supposed to attain? Really, was he?
