Taibel Lipskier, Soviet Survivor Who Cared for the Neglected
1913-2008
Known for her care of the sick and needy, Taibel Lipskier was a Chabad-Lubavitch Chasid who saw the worst of Soviet oppression.

"Bubbe" Maryasha Garelik survived the pogroms of czarist Russia, Soviet anti-Semitism and Nazi terror. Four generations of her descendants are Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries in the United States, Australia, Asia, Eastern and Western Europe and Africa.
