The Boundless Leaf

What is a leaf? A leaf is boundlessness compressed within a boundless context.

It is boundless because its very existence is an act of a Creator who knows no bounds, who can extrude an endless number of leaves in endless variety out of the nothingness.

It is boundless in design, containing a wisdom that may be studied for endless lifetimes and yet never depleted.

It is boundless in form, for there is nothing about it that can ever be measured and stored with perfect accuracy, nothing of its future that can be predicted with precision.

And it lies within a context that is boundless, the boundless destiny of all creation: that the Unknowable should be made known from its hiding place within a single leaf.

not just a leaf
Doesn't this describe everything in creation? A single cell can be described the same way, as can the human psyche and everything else in existence.

Why not?
What not pick a leaf? Bubbi, you got something against leaves? At least a leaf won't leave you and ask for half, or whine about the kids. You can even use a leaf as a bookmark while studying Torah.

In fact, I would vote for a leaf to be President! At least it would do no harm just floating around the oval office. Leaf for president!

Boundless Everything
Why pick on a leaf as an example. Everything is the example, because G-d is everything in His Creation!

G-d hiding in a leaf
A leaf falls from a tree
floating gently on the wind
What a feeling to be free

Soon it falls unto the ground
dries up
and dies without a sound

If you want to live
and truly be free
remain attached to the tree.

Simply amazing!
A leaf is simply an amazing product of Creator. The more we think about it, the more we become amazed over the treasures of universe. May our hearts be filled for the Creator of universe.
