Walking Miracle

Any Jew alive on the face of this planet today is a walking miracle. Our mere existence today is wondrous, plucked from the fire at the last moment again and again, with no natural explanation that will suffice.

Each of us alive today is a child of martyrs and miracles.

Based on letters and talks of the Rebbe, Rabbi M. M. Schneerson
From the wisdom of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, of righteous memory; words and condensation by Rabbi Tzvi Freeman. To order Rabbi Freeman’s book, Bringing Heaven Down to Earth, click here.

The miracle of reason
The Jews are still here because reason prevailed over madness.

Reason is the only common language we human beings have.

What really sets us against each other is the 'idea' (note parenthesis) that reason is against G-d; that we must dispense with it, cast it aside, to know G-d better.

This is generally how the various houses of faith divide against each other, and too often to violent means and ends.

You (that is the Jews) claim a special relationship with G-d which you Chabadniks like to also claim is 'chukim' (basically senseless), backed by miracles that you claim defy reason;-

and then buying into the claim on top of that that you are 'the chosen',-

other people follow your example in their own invented ways.

There is a direct relationship between the claim that you are 'the chosen' simply because your mothers are Hebrew and the later claim that the Germans were 'the master race' because of their mothers.

Thank G-d, the miracle of reason prevailed instead.

I agree.
Shalom, my brother. Yes, all of us Jews are walking miracles and G-d will always see to that fact. Peace always. Roger Dale Hadden.

Walking Miracle
Whilst there is little doubt that the Jewish people have an innate ability to survive almost eternal condemnation and persecution, what answer can we find to the oft-asked question concerning the Almighty's apparent inability to control the thoughts and actions of the oppressors and thereby ensure that Jews around the world may live free of the fear that present and future generations might again be subjected to the horrors and suffering of the past

true true
And the blessings are not just in theory but actually.

Also, when I say most of neighbors are Jewish, they say "oh must be a good neighborhood!"

The idea that a people is associated with abundance when they had nothing but their faith in their G-d to begin with is an inspiration.

From cab driver:
"The thing that I wish we had, was a kind of Jewish brotherhood, they watch out for each other. Name me one poor Jewish chap right now and I'm going to give you this ride for free...they have each other's back, wish I had that!

Each and every jew should be so proud and thankful to G-d. Each of us is a hero, a survivor and because of all that we are, for what we represent, and for all we had survived and for what we are still facing, I like to call us "the rare species"
