12-13 Tammuz is the anniversary of the liberation of the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn from soviet prisons in 1927.

The following is a personal account of his arrest and imprisonment and his subseqeuent liberation.
