The nations cannot understand why the Jewish people should have a land. "If it is G-d and scriptures and heaven that you are all about," they claim, "then why do you want a piece of earth?"

G-d will give us what we need when the time is right. He always has and always will. Of this I am sure. What more peace could one person want than to know this in their hearts. Our land is ours and will always be. It is carried with us wherever life's road takes each of us. G-d only askes that we believe. Why is this small favor so difficult, and why do so many want proof? What is proof. Is it something you can touch, see, smell, hear? Did G-d not give us these senses to begin with? Is this not proof in itself? Think about it.

I am not a jew but I must say that God is leading me on a journey so he can show me truths about the Jews. I do beleive Jews are God chosen people because he said so in his word. I beleive Isreal belongs to the Jewish people and God is fulfilling prophecy by re uniting Jews from all over the world to Isreal. Although there is still so much I don't understand, I do understand that God is God and who are we to ever question why, I am satisfied with, He said, and thats why. I have in my heart a longing and a Love for the Jewish people and that comes from God because He has a special love for the Jewish people, so I am excited to see were this new found love is going to lead me.

This world is a ball of dirt held together by the roots of trees and bones of those who are clawing at the dust, afraid what will come next.
If you keep holding on to the idea that any of this land is your land at the exclusion of fellow human beings, and if you continue to worship this land more than the God who created it, then you will be doomed to perish with that land and you will never see the promise that lies behind it.
the promise is love. love for your family , love for you neighbors, love for the palestinians. i pray that you will study your religion and learn from the arrogance of the pharaoh. liberrate your hearts and minds like moses liberated your forefathers and mothers. expell the hate in your chest and embrace all the people of that meaningless dirt called israel.
the real temple of god is the human heart, not the muslim hear, not the jewish heart, the human heart. be careful not to break it, in breaking a heart you are destroying His temple.

Nice article, but I would change the title for "G-d 's Land". As He says in Torah, "The Land is Mine"

jewish people are indigenous to the land of israel. like australian aboriginess and north american indians are to their land. there is a heart in the land as well as in people and this land of G-d beats for the jewish people. make room in your heart to understand. when you are so comfortable in sunny californina, sometimes you can't hear your real heart. comfort can be a barrier to recognition. homeland looks like mere dirt, roots, and bones. i couldn't hear my heart till i followed it and left and had to reset the compass over and over. after 13 years outside of California, the compass of my heart points to Israel. i pray that someday i will be ready to live there.

I read the Daily Dose and totally agreed. Until I came to the above mentioned phrase. At Chabad I sometimes hear this expression. But it always gives me the feeling, that we can't say that. In my opinion we can only say: "HE is in everything, or HE is everywhere. Sometimes HE has troubles with us. If He is everything, HE cannot have troubles with Himself. HE does not forgive Himself. When HE is glad, when we succeed in keeping His mitzvot properly, when we love our brothers and sisters, when we are able to "repaire" a tiny piece of the world. The Creator and His Creation, are they really identical? Or - how is it ment??? Surely the Rebbe had somthing in mind, when he wrote or said this.

Judah and Israel are the Josephs of this Earth. As it was with Joseph so it is with the Jews. Joseph's brothers were so jealous of him and the fact that his father Israel loved him so much, that he gave him a beautiful coat of many colors; one day they throw him in a pit, they tore his coat from him and sold him into slavery, they returned home with the coat they stripped from him, soaked in blood and lied to their father. Yet G-D is with him. So you see Israel my beloved friend, the world (just like Joseph's brothers) will always be jealous of you try to kill you, and try to take what G-D gave you. Yet you have THE ONE who overcomes the world.

When Moshiach comes, the land of Israel will belong to the Jews. Taking ownership of it now, with bloodshed and war, is not G-d's will. If G-d wanted us to live there now then he would destroy the enemy, or give us peace. All nations would bow to the wisdom of Torah and all people would want to live by the example set by the Jews. But what do we have instead? The place for Jews in today's world is America, Australia, and other countries where we can lead by good example without having to KILL to do it.

I am not a chabadnik, but as days are passing by, I learn how deep is the knowledge involved in this movement and how deep is the Rebbe’s wisdom!

Excellent article! So true!
|
The land problem is just a manifestation of a larger spiritual problem.
|
Our taking ownership of the Land is exactly G-d's will and intention, because nothing becomes your true possession through passivity. And we have seen enough miracles in our time to have no doubts about that. And the nations will bow to the wisdom of Torah only after they see it in real life that we, His people, will fight for this Land beyond any perceptions of reason.
