The High Holiday Anthem

The festivals of the High Holiday season pluck every string of our being, from introspection to commitment to solemnity to joy. The key to these diverse experiences is the opening line of Psalm 27: "G-d is my light"

THe High Holiday Anthem....
Rabbi,
This article is a gem. I really was inspired by it. It makes one really long for the "Days of Awe". I am keeping this to read again.

G-d is my light and my salvation ...
This Psalm has always been among my favorites and now I can better understand why. I appreciate the Rabbi's insights and the daily dose of wisdom I receive each morning from Chabad. Thank you!

High Holiday Anthem
I didn't know that the High Holiday had an Anthem. I was surpised to see that it is the 27th Psalm. My auntie used to say read the 27th Psalm, I don't think she knew that it was an anthem, ut it has always encouraged my soul. Thank you so much for all of information. May God continue to bless and keep you.

Psalm 27 as a song?
Does this psalm have a melody associated with it, like many other tehilim, that it can be sung as well as read?

Joy of Knowing !
This was especially meaningful to me.I just this past week, the year I was Tishri 21, 5700 on Hashana Rabba, The last day of Succot..
King David hand wrote the Torah. It is reflected all through the Psalms.
The Torah reading for that week of my birth was Gen. 1:1-6:8 read all over the world. Now to find out an Anthem was being harolded that day too. What a Mighty G-d we serve.
I have been praying the Psalms over the House of Israel every day for several years.. Now He blesses me with Psalm 27 into my life
* I encourage those who read this, memorise this Psalm and pray it into the lives of your family.and to ALL ISRAEL ! (put their name or put Israel, to pray for Israel)
G-d is calling prayer warriors to stand in the gap for Israel and pray the Psalms for her. Psalms 144
