Two cows, they were, sharing a paddock on the same farm...

bh This is a perfect analysis or diagram, if you will, of how a mitzvah comes about, where it derives from, how it came into being. This is what it's meant when we say that we are enjoined to use our physical world to bring down G-dliness from Above.

Beautifully 'developed'. Life would indeed be so much more meaningful and purposeful if we took the trouble to think before our next move no matter how small. 'And you shall know Him with all your ways'

In the example of a traveller who does a mitzva (eg visiting the sick) after eating non-kosher meat, this shouldn't be a problem if the traveller isn't Jewish. Non-Jews eating non-kosher meat is not contrary to the will of G-d, so wouldn't this meat be developed if the eater did a mitzva (according to the Noahide laws)?

After researching the topic, it seems that although the food eaten would now be part of a more purposeful existence, it is not clear if this would be identical to the Kabbalistic doctrine of refinement and elevation that is typically associated with the Mitzvot which are done by a Jew. It is possible that for this reason the author did not mention this detail in the article.
