All the Bnei Yisroel must gather to hear
The melech read the Torah on Sukkos after every shemitah year
To remind the Bnei Yisroel of what they all accepted
They will keep all the mitzvos, l’olam vaed
The children would come even though it was very hard
For parents to bring all their young ones from far
But children must learn and the best way to reach them
Is for parents to show them and to teach them
Hakhel its purpose was for the Jews to unite
With Torah and Mitzvahs they’re hearts to ignite
And even today we must all prepare
For the future hakhel will soon be here.
