Lyrics

After leaving Mitzrayim going into the midbar
Moshe counted the Jews to see how many they were
Because of Hashem’s great love
Bnei Yisroel were counted
To know the total each shevet amounted

The Jews marched and camped in a square formation
In the center was the mishkan’s location
Wherever they traveled the luchos went alone
In the center of our lives the Torah belongs

These centuries are the children of Moshe and Aaron
Yet Aaron’s sons are mentioned along
Moshe was like their father throughout the day
Because he taught them the Torah’s ways

"Yet Aaron’s sons are mentioned along"
Although it really sounds like he says "along", I think it is clear from the context that the word should be "alone".

I was so excited to find these lyrics - I grew up with this album and couldn't find the words anywhere for 25 years!
