Miracle of the Maccabees was written, produced, and directed by Chaim Clorfene and Simcha Gottlieb, whose additional credits include many pioneering Jewish educational films, videos, radio programming, books, and multimedia. Together, they created the classic radiodrama, "The Mysterious Golem of Prague," starring Leonard Nimoy - recently remastered and re-released on CD. It was so inspiring to listen to a "real" story about Chanukkah that tells the truth about what happened instead of focusing on the cute little myths. May the spirit of the Maccabees live on in all of us during these times. I would love to teach this play to our synagogue's children--how do I get a script?
