It is customary to sing “Haneirot Halalu,” and/or “Maoz Tzur” after lighting the Menorah.

Here is another Chanukah song we sing:

I have a little Dreidel,
I made it out of clay.
And when it’s dry and ready;
Oh Dreidel I shall play.

Oh Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel,
I made you out of clay;
And when you’re dry and ready;
Then Dreidel I shall play.

Greetings from the coast of California! There are not many Jews around these parts under the age of 75 so we understand that feeling of being the only Jewish kid around. Remember that we are a family, and even though we may live miles away from each other, we are all together in spirit every time we do something that G-d has asked us to do. Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your school project Joshua! We pray that your courage will have great results. We hope that you find another Jewish friend soon. Happy Hannukah! Many blessings! The Jew Crew at Beth HaShem Torah School Reply

That's fret, Joshua!! Like the Macabees, you are an inspiration for doing that at your school!

From New York... wishing you a very happy Chanukah this year and every year! Reply

I am a 12 year old boy who now lives in Mauritius because of the violent crime in South Africa. I had to leave my school King David Victory park and am now in an international school. I am one out of two jewish boys there. We had to do a project on religious holiday. Everyone did Christmas thanks to your wonderful site I was not alone and did my project on chanukah. Thanks to you all for making me feel not so alone. Reply
