Chanukah Guide

Jews all over the world celebrate Chanukah by lighting candles on the Chanukah Menorah.

It is customary to sing “Haneirot Halalu,” and/or “Maoz Tzur” after lighting the Menorah.

Often parents give their children Chanukah Gelt (money) on Chanukah.

On Chanukah we play a special game called Dreidel. The Dreidel is a four-sided spinning top, called a “sevivon” in Hebrew

In honor of the miracle which occurred with oil, it is traditional to eat foods fried in oil.
