As a former Soviet Jewry activist I thought I would never see our brethren be able to practice Yiddishkeit openly and see them leave "Mother" Russia.

Neat little video. about 6 minutes, but full of info. cool opening, and narrator keeps you listening. Watch it!

Communism was bound to fall, only a matter of time......
This movie clip proves that faith lives in the heart and cannot die no matter what ugly circumstances surround us.

I'm crying into my keyboard!! Thank you for a beautiful film and a beautiful reminder of who and what we are.
Chazak, chazak, y'all!
|
This film will stir the innermost of your soul! Thank you!
|
Wonderful video, very inspiring, reminds us of our history and struggle to overcome all seemingly unsurmountable odds to survive as a people.
|
Thank you for a beautiful and inspiring film...

I hope everyone circulates this one, it really is important to see that. It really brings world events together with Torah, and G-d. This is what the world needs to know!
|
Very informative video, with clear understanding of history of the holiday as well as its pertinence to me today. I appreciate your dedication and everyone involved at Chabad.org for providing me and my friends with a clearer understanding of Judaism and for inspiring me as always. Thank you!

All of Torah is a record of miracles, of G-d's expressed love finding unatural avenues to bless His People.
Chanukah is a wonderful time to remind us of brotherly love as fuel to do what is right, not considering the odds, the nation's anger or our own flaws.
May Israel raise and shine towards this year's Chanukah's need for a miracle in behalf of our dear Gush Katif displaced, forgotten and needy people.
May we be the oil provition for this year Chanukah miracle!
Here in Mexico we will be lightening our Chanukilla with you in our hearts, prayers and love gifts (through Front Line).
We love you Gush Katif!

I love the movie.. I use to go to chabad in caracas -- it is very interesting for me
|
Very powerful and entertaining. I do have an issue with turning every news item into a miracle by using dramatic music and a deep-voiced narrator -- that can be done with any story.
The fall of communism was a product of time, and was no more an act of g-d than a gallon of milk going sour after the expiration date.
The six-day war is definiltly more than a coincidence, but i wouldnt compare it to hanukah...
It's time we get realistic.

Great movie. Good historical excerpts.

Yasher ko'ach. A wonderfully inspiring film that I have forwarded to my children, family and friends all across Canada.

This was a awe inspiring short that gives one kavenah for kindling the Chanukah lights. B'ruch Hashem for this and those who helped make it.

EVERYTHING is a miracle, some things are just more revealed and obvious than others. Also, it is easy to take things for granted after the fact. However, for those, like my family, who lived through the horrors of the USSR and could never have dreamed of the fall of communism even a short time before it happened, there is no doubt it was a miracle -- that is, a revealed G-dly intervention. There is no lack of sophistication in recognizing and giving credit to the Creator for His benevolence. Chag Sameach

Very inspiring! Beautifully done! Deserves broad exposure.
|
A video that enriches our hearts with the memory of what it is to be a Jew, may our hearts never forget what a great light our souls are, and as our great people who kept the light burning throughout history, may we not be blinded by the darkness. If we let our souls be shown they will light the way. Chag sameach.
|
This was truly a great gift. I pray that there will be others in the future.
|
Wonderful. I am so sorry that these miracles are invisible to some. Having lived through all those mentioned (excepting Antiochus) I can testify to the "impossiblity" of them all (and more). Inevitable is clearer with "hindsight" than with foresight.
|
an amazing job well done.... spread the miracle, be a miracle!!
|
Thank you for the wonderful Chanukah video.
|
What an uplifting film. It made my day. I think my entire family will love and enjoy it.
|
I enjoyed watching the film the miracles. Thank you for putting it all together, so I can enjoy it, and also send it to my friends so they can learn about it too. May God bless...

I saw the video, it is really heart touching. I loved the words "God does not forget His people and Israel." He proved it by giving the great victories to Israel and will continue. Glory be to God of Israel. Let the light of GOD shine continually in our hearts and in the world.
"For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them." Psalm 44:3.
"For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness." Psalm 18:28
O God of Israel we love Thee. Happy CHANUKAH to all.

To say that I was touched by your video presentation would be an understatement. I was deeply moved and would love to show it to my students who unfortunately have just commenced their summer vacation. Please continue spreading "your light" both to the Jewish and Non-Jewish world. It is time for the world to be enlightened.
|
Thanks for a beautiful video! I almost teared up a little thinking of my relatives stories of escaping Russia, and now to see Putin lighting the candles... wonderful!
|
I watched this inspiring video many times, and forwarded the link to several of my friends. I also posted the link on a jewish converts group I am a member of. The video is very emotional, excellent narration and music. THANK YOU.
|
I Love the Video. I am a gentile Believer, I love The G-d of Israel, He is faithfull. What he did then he can do Today, We just have to keep the candles burning and let the Light shine from Our hearts into the Lives Of others. G-d Bless you and remeber "He who watches Israel neither Sleeps nor Slumbers" Praise G-d!
|
Thank you for reminding me of who I am. Thank you for welcoming me back to the fold.
|
Thank you for a wonderful video. Will share with all my family.
I am fortunate to be able to celebrate Hannukah, here, in the Promised Land.
Jag Sameach to all

Celebrating the holidays with my boyfriend's Christian family. This helped me to feel connected and in touch with my roots and traditions. The Jewish people have endured and overcome countless tragedies and challenges. Chanukkah is the perfect time to remember this and to be proud of who we are and what we stand for. We should always work to remember this and impart this to our children and friends so it never dies. Thanks for the film. It was inspirational and touching.

It is wonderful how the Chabad shuls welcome all jews no matter how non-religious they are ! ! "gey Gezun"
