corn flakes
Is there anything else that can be used in this recipe besides corn syrup? This is not a healthy ingredient and is a major suspect in causing obesity in children of our country.

corn syrup
I am a licensed ND and I can assure you that the cause of childhood obesity is not simply due to corn syrup - corn syrup is merely getting the blame. It burns the same as other sweeteners- and it acts similarly- I have diabetes as does my 8 year old but I have done a great deal of study on this. It is just a sweetener from a different means. Honey is sweeter and has many more calories.
