When is Purim in 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030?

The holiday of Purim falls on the Hebrew calendar date of Adar 14. Here are the coinciding secular dates for the upcoming years:

Purim 2026 begins at sundown on Monday, March 2, 2026 and concludes at nightfall on Tuesday, March 3, 2026

Purim in Other Years

2027: March 22-24
2028: March 9 and 11-12
2029: February 28 - March 1
2030: March 18-19

Note: The Jewish calendar date begins at sundown of the night beforehand. Thus holiday observances begin at sunset of the first secular date listed (with the Purim Night Megillah reading taking place that evening), and the holiday concludes at nightfall the following day.

When Purim falls on Sunday the fast of Esther is observed on the Thursday prior, which in 2024 was on March 21. Reply

Wednesday and Thursday, March 20-21, respectively (same as everywhere else).

In Jerusalem (unlike the rest of Israel), Purim is observed the next day, Friday. Reply

For such a time as this Praise God for Esther, and her courage saved the Jewish people from that wicked Haman. God can use anyone to do his will and see that the Messiah would come as promised. Satan has been trying to hinder the plan of God, but through his providence God had this great woman of God in the kingdom for such a time as this.
