Chabad-Lubavitch centers across the globe geared up for the upcoming holiday of Purim by holding hamentashen baking events where community members could learn the time-honored techniques of making the traditional Purim pastry.

Israeli violinist Lior Kaminetsky will be headlining a grand Purim celebration at the Herzog Wine Cellars sponsored by the Chabad-Lubavitch centers in Ventura, Camarillo and Oxnard, Calif.

Chabad.org presents a wealth of information about Purim on VirtualPurim.org. The site is also host to the world’s largest Purim costume contest.
