Yum
This recipe sounds awesome! I would never have thought to add grated potatoes to my hamburger patties.
Excellent idea - and Kosher, too!
Thanks!!

Using chicken fat
I was surprised that chicken fat was used to fry hamburgers in one of the main dish recipes for Passover. Chicken fat, also known as "schmaltz", while admittedly tasty, is not the healthiest fat that Jews or anyone else for that matter, should be eating due to having a high cholesterol content which contributes to health issues such as hardening of the arteries and heart attacks and strokes. jAbout the only safe oils to use in recipes are olive or canola oils. All others contain trace elements of harmful fats and hydrogenated fats. Terrible for health reasons.

hamburgers
It is named after a tradisional preparation of a food from the city of Hamburg somewhere in Europe and has nothing to do with ham.

Reply to hamburgers
Samuel, In the US we call "beefburgers" hamburgers. If the meat used is not beef, we state it like "turkey hamburger", etc.
